It is very possible that you are the type of person or have at least seen the people who cannot seem to sit still when they are off on vacation.  Personally, I want to do absolutely nothing when I vacation but sit on a beach with a fruity drink in my have and the sun beaming off of my skin.  I know that there are people who wish the exact opposite for their travels.  Some people actually travel to find adventure and excitement, and these people are what I like to call “vacationing movers and shakers.”

When you are planning a glorious vacation for you and your family you don’t want to end up getting stuck in the shadow of an erupting volcano. Although we marvel at the beauty and power of an erupting volcano you don’t want to end up being too close for comfort.

The United States has 18 volcanoes that are likely to erupt. There are many others around the world. Here are a couple of the volcanoes that are located in the United States. There are constantly eruptions taking place all over the world. the last major volcanic eruption was Mount St. Helens in 1980. Other smaller eruptions have taken place since then.

The historic earthquake in the immediate area of Fukushima, Japan on March 11, 2011, struck a deadly blow not only to the people of the beautiful island, but also the economy.  One of the hardest hit sectors, as you might imagine, has been tourism.  In the hours following the devastating tsunami that inundated hundreds of feet (or several inland miles) of Japanese coastline, taking with it buildings, cars, homes, and other structures, the world was able to see first hand the effects of the greatest natural disaster to hit the region in recent history.
